Q: What rights do I get when I buy beats?
A: You get nonexclusive rights (lease) or exclusive rights to sell, promote, distribute, perform, and share via mixtape, album, and internet your songs made using our beats. Your contract will expand on this and guarantee your rights forever.
Q: Do I get an email of the contract and beats when I buy rights?
A: Yes, instantly for leases, a few days later for exclusive rights! Check your Spam folder if you don't see anything.
Q: What's up with the fx sound/tag in some beats on here?
A: So Fo Real uses a distinct fx sound in most beats like you would here Drumma Boy or another producer use as his trademark. We try to make place it "musically" within the beats, but if there is a beat where this sound is just too overbearing, contact us at sfrbeats.com/contact and we'll fix it.
Q: What happened to the "Unlimited License"?

Q: What if two people use the same beat?
A: They can still copyright their own songs (beat and lyrics) and sell, distribute, broadcast, and perform the songs, keeping their own royalties with the lease, beat package, or the Unlimited License. When using a So Fo Real beat, the copyright for that beat still belongs to So Fo Real, but the copyright to the song you make with the beat belongs to you. With the SFRBeats lease, Beat Package, or Unlimited License, you can still sell, distribute, perform, and broadcast your own songs, keeping all of your royalties.
Q: Do I have to pay any royalties or need any publishing information from So Fo Real?

Q: Does So Fo Real use samples?

Q: Can I make monthly payments on beats?

A: We can't remove any beats from the website..that wouldn't make a lot of others happy! But we can do a similar sounding custom beat for your vocals. A: We have a rotating group of talented private songwriters and engineers we use that have huge credits. The producers themselves also write and mix. Who writes your song depends on the nature of the project, availability, and your budget.
Q: Can I get collaborations or join So Fo Real?
A: We don't 'collaborate' per se, but we do establish business relationships. You may be able to "work for" So Fo Real as a songwriter or mix engineer if you have some great material and work ethic.
