This is three reasons why you should take that free gig. Number one, you're not getting any other gigs. If you're not getting any gigs, go head and take the free gig. That's your start. Number two, take a free gig if you're playing for a different market. If you've played a that same club on 5th street downtown, don't do it again. If you're in another city, take that free gig. It will help you in the long run, trust me.
Number three, take the free gig if you think that you can get sales from merchandise. If you think you can pay for your expenses, your trip, your gas, and all that through your merchandise sales go head and take the free gig. Money is money. No matter how you get it. No matter what your plan is for getting it. Whether it's given to you by the person who books you or your fans through the merchandise. I hope that helps you. It's your boy Slick, So Fo Real Productions, Real Beats for Real Artists.
