I'm in one of the So Fo Real studios here telleing you about songwriting hooks. I'ts all about the hook. That's what people are going to remember in their heads when they hear your songs so this is important. You want your hooks to be what they call the resolve. You want it to be the main point, the punch, and the main hook. You want it to be the knock out if you're Floyd Mayweather fans or well he don't do much knocking out but you know what I mean.
You want it to be the main message that stands out in people's heads. So, how do you do that? Well, you want to keep it simple. You want to keep it clear and direct into the point. You don't want to bounce around the idea. You don't want to say you dislike your ex. You want to say you hate your ex. You want it to be very strong and very clear. Another thing you can do with your hook is make it creative. Instead of say directly you hate your ex you might want to say something crazy you know, I can't think of anything crazy it's to early in the morning.
You want to be really creative with it and try to say it in a different way then you ever heard it before or just be yourself. If you just be yourself and say it the way you would say it then usually its just going to be different and unique because you're going to be yourself. So those are our few tips and tricks for doing your hooks if you're a songwriter. So in the next video I'm going to tell you about verses so stay tune for that.
